I have a question for the person who wrote this movie – did you write this movie for yourself? Because it is impossible you thought that this movie would be comprehendible to anyone other than yourself.

Plot Summary

Kasanova is a love story about two middle-aged single parents, Femi and Ms. Jessica.

In their first meeting, Jessica overhears Femi’s conversation with his friends and is immediately appalled by his misogynistic characterization of women. She proceeds to insult him, and they have a heated argument.

Later on, however, they meet again by chance and a friendship blossom which then turns into a relationship.

Was this film mediocre?

This movie was so incoherent and afraid to explore depth (that it made for a made for a confusing watch). However, it did have some good bits to it and they were:

The cast was

the stand-out performers were Mr. Wale Ojo who was good with everybody, Ms. Ayo Mogaji, and Odunlade Adekola who were hilarious.

Also, smart move milking the chemistry between the boys from MTV Shuga.

Abayomi’s horrible singing was too funny.

Ms. Ireti Doyle and Mr. Wale’s exchange when they had dinner was classic.

C’est Magnifique.

Would I watch it again?

and here is why.

The opening scene was catastrophic

way too disorganized.

Ruby’s crying in the party scene was awful.

In the bar scene, Mr. Wale Ojo repeated his lines twice.

It was like watching two takes of one scene.

The dramatic moments looked very restrained.

They were not impactful.

Why did Femi apologize to Ms. Jessica about last night when two days had passed already?

There were literally two scenes and two outfit changes to show that some days had passed before their (Femi and Jessica) early morning run.

There was a scene where Jason was very happy and offered to help his grandmother.

What was the reason for his happiness? Why was he so happy? Were we the viewers supposed to guess?

How did Femi and Jessica move from banter to “I love you?”

What happened to Jason’s singing lessons with Jessica?

After Jessica told Femi “I love you” and they exchanged house keys, why did Femi then ask Jessica if she will ever love again in the next scene?

Who the fuck edited this movie? Don’t you have eyes? And ears?

I ask again, what happened to Jason’s lessons with Jessica?

Why is Ms. Ayo playing Mr. Wale’s mother and without the appropriate makeup to make her look older?

Are we supposed to assume old makeup on her face or did she birth him when she was minus fifteen years old?

This movie’s dialogue was just

In the scene where Jason confessed to Femi, he said that he was the one who sent the text message to Jessica. Which text message did Jessica receive? Wasn’t it Rebecca that just said that she received a text message in the previous scene?

Who edited this movie?

How did Jason start liking Ini?

My Verdict

I give Kasanova a 1.5 out of 5. Visually the movie looked amazing but its content was lacking seriously.

I agree with every one of your critique. However, can you edit the first 3 paragraphs? Looks like you wrote it for yourself too…Lol. Some words are missing, some others are wrongly spelled.
